I met William sometime in the latter part of 1980 and I think we were connected by Frank/Cass Brayton aka Sister Mary Media. William played a foundational role in the creation of Vortex: A Journal of New Vision, a zine that my partner Bradley Rose and I published between 1980 and 1982. William designed the logos and a good part of every issue. We were all volunteers. Here’s a short article describing the project and mentioning William's many contributions.
