We may have met at the first Radical Faerie conference in September 1979 (or slightly before), I'm not sure. But definitely began to spend time together in the fall of 1979. Again unsure if he was already living at 115 Pierce Street when we met. That's where he was living mostly in the early years of our friendship. I know he designed the first Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence logo and did the lettering still in use today (January 2024).  William was Sister Succuba of the Sisters. He was one of the first Sisters, appearing in our first set of postcards. He designed the original logo and lettering. He created a large wide black banner with white lettering that was used in marches and appearances by the group. The original was lost, but William created a replacement.

I remember he had a big vintage sedan. I believe it was used for William's scene in the film Devotions by James Broughton and Joel Singer. He was very proud of that beautiful car.  One of his roommates at 115 Pierce was Robert Russell who later became the successful porn filmmaker Kristen Bjorn.
